Arc Design Resources can provide a wide range of traffic analyses and solutions to problems by drawing upon years of engineering experience and by utilizing the latest in computer modeling. Some of the products we employ include Signal 2000, Highway Capacity Software, Synchro Corridor modeling software, and Autoturn turning movement simulator. We have developed a large portfolio of Intersection Design Studies and Traffic Impact Analyses for local projects and regional projects throughout the Midwest.

We have developed a solid reputation with the local community and numerous Departments of Transportation by providing design solutions that maintain the highest levels of public safety while balancing the needs of our public and private clients. Many privately funded projects require access permits in order to connect to local highways. These permit requirements include the preparation of traffic studies and intersection design studies in order for the local governing agency to assess the impacts of the proposed development on the adjacent highway network. Our traffic group has a highly successful record of performance when dealing with the Illinois Dept of Transportation on these types of projects. Whether working for local governments or private entities, we employ practical applications to the necessary access needs to balance client interests and the overall needs of the motoring public. This approach often allows us to expedite approvals since we can “get it right” the first time.
